62 Star/Bowtie candidate

I guess I messed up big time. Last Fall I had my 62 #0029 judged to go for Star/Bowtie this year. Missed Top Flight for some minor items. If the front turn signals would have worked (loose wire in front harness), I would have made Top Flight. The car was signed off on for Star/Bowtie. This was my first judging experience. During the first part of February I registered for the National Convention in San Diego and made the hotel acommodations, or so I thought. Apparently I did not hit the correct button on the site to activate the registration. I did hit the "save" button. I am not the most computer literate person. Here I am, fully anticipating the long drive to San Diego but due to my error, I guess, I will not be going. I don't have the time, money or patience to wait until next year's convention. I will be placing the car for sale on the other forum. This car is the second oldest 62 registered on the C-1 Registry. Thanks for everyones help and advice this past year.

Sounds kind of familiar John. I just got permission to try for a BowTie at San Diego and when my car was flight judged I missed Top Flight by .7 of a point. Both of my turn signals decided to give it up just as they were being judged. I drove 100 yards to the convention center and the left turn signal decided to start working again, oh well.

I sure hope my car pans out as a Bowtie as I'm hurting all over from spending the entire day removing undercoating and figure to spend another full day doing the same.
