Another 1967 radiator fan shroud question

    Hi Everyone,

I searched the forum for the answer to my question but didn't find it, so I'm looking for some help. I believe I have found an original radiator fan shroud for my L79 non-A/C coupe and have some questions.

The judging manual talks about small slots in the lower area where the shroud extension would install on a car with A/C. The shroud that I'm looking at appears not to have these slots, so my question is, were these slots made on the production line as required or did all SBC shrouds have the slots as manufactured?

Is the DS logo that I read about unique to original shrouds or can it be found on the reproduction shrouds?

I've attached a few picture in the hopes someone can confirm if the shroud is correct for my application. As always, Thank you for your help.

    Kurt,
I'm not sure about slots you mention in the manual. But I can tell you the 67 sb shroud should be bare fiberglass. Known repops are very much lighter gray than the original very dark fiberglass gray. Best to remove paint and see what you got.

Kurt, Bring it over and we can compare a few other originals.

        Kurt -

'67 A/C and non-A/C cars used the same shroud; the six slots for attachment of the lower ring on A/C cars (and the hole and window for the U-nut on each side) were added in an off-line bench router fixture at St. Louis.
