1958-1962 Fiberglass Body Washers/Shims

Hello All!
I am trying to get all of my ducks in a row as I get ready to but my 1958 body back on its chassis (finally). I have 5 fiberglass washers or shims that are about the size of an old silver dollar. I have totally forgotten where they go. Can anyone tell me where they go and am I only suposed to five or am I supposed to have more? Thanks again, JB

They are used at the body mount positions in the cockpit. You will need at least eight, probably ten. I don't remember if the two bolts at the rear fenders used them. Originally, they were bonded in place.

Justin, when I took my 60 apart, most of these were missing. I laid up a number of layers of fiberglass then made my own by using my drill press and a hole saw. turned out pretty good. I made them a little large than the steel washer used with the body mount bolt. Here a picture after paint.

Try Dr. Rebuild web site. It is amazing how many NOS parts he has. Not always inexpensive, but he probably has them.
