C1 (1960) soft top front latch

I need the front latches for my 1960. I only got a hardtop with the car, so I don't have a soft top latch to reference. I have found some on another forum, but how do I tell if they are correct? I have the part numbers from the AIM. Do the actual latches have the part number cast on them?

Also Paragon and CC sell reproductions and their descriptions both say that they have the 'correct short handles". What does this mean?

Basically how can I tell if the ones for sale are correct C1 front soft top latches?

    Thanks,
    Don Harris

I'm old enough to remember when only the longer(incorrect) latches were available. I think that these were mid-year latches. For those of you with hardtops with punctures above these latches the holes were caused by using these incorrect and longer latches. We are lucky now to have correct (short) latches.
