    1954 Motor Mount Bolt Torque

Real quick question which I have had difficulty in finding the answer .... installing the engine in my 54' frame and tightening up the motor mount bolt - what is the targeted torque for the mounting bolt? I was somewhere around 45 ft. lb. to get the cotter pin to align with the slotted nut. Is this sufficent??
    Thanks!!!

Some 54's use a "special" nut instead of castle nut

Thanks Chris for the suggestion of a "special" nut but not sure what that would be....I am sure it is not like the special motor mounts that bubby cut, welded, patched on my car origionally. A real piece of artwork I am saving as a conversation piece. Ha.

        I hear you
mine had been converted by Bubba with a "Hurst" V8 conversion kit
It is an alum adapter that bolts to the front of the block
I still have it - pretty cool......

The nut is a "dimped" lock nut
