Odd 66 color combo

I looked at a 66 that is black outside with blue and white interor. What shade of blue is it and is the dash and rugs and seatbelts blue and door panel, seats and headliner white? How rare is it?

Outstanding combination, have only seen one. Bright blue is the color..

Like the Survivor ad, detailed chassis, engine, etc. Carpet looks new. Some people are clueless about what a Survivor is .

Dick I say that car at Corvettes at Carlisle a few years ago and fell in love with it. it was a nice car in person.

This is interesting. I have always been under the understanding that posi was not available in 66 on a 300HP powerglide corvette but it is listed on the dealer bill of sale. Am I wrong on this?

Russ -- According to 1966 Dealer Order form, Powerglide was available only on base engine (we now know a few [20] L36's had it) and only the 3.36 posi ratio was available with the base engine automatic. This is confirmed on the powertrain chart in the NCRS Specifications Guide.

The order form (or the NCRS powertrain chart) doesn't mention the 390hp / Powerglide combo.

From memory I saw a 66 in the EXACT same color combo, 300hp motor at the NCRS Nationals in Charlotte 2 years ago. I have some pics of it on my computer. It was stunning. I am assuming it isn't the same car, as if it was I am SURE it would be advertised as a National NCRS Top Flight Car, or at minimum a Top Flight Regional car (to have gotten to the Nationals). I remember seeing a woman with the car the entire show, I was thinking she was the owner....NICE CAR.....

ProTeam has a 66 black/blue-white 425 coupe: http://proteam-corvette.com/cars/271Y.htm. I had a chance to buy this car many years ago (10?) from the Michigan owner. Coulda, shoulda, didn't. Dumb. Very rare color combo.
