58 trunk fiberglass access panels-painted installed or uninstalled?

I am getting ready to paint a 58 and am wondering weather or not the fiberglass trunk access panels in the corners were painted installed or uninstalled.

Russ, if they would interfer with mounting the body and/or the bumpers after body drop, then it would seem they were added after body paint.

Dan, From what I understand they are access to the bumper braces so it would make sense that they were painted off the car. Thanks
