Another PN question for Joe L.

Joe, pictured is the aluminum tube that is in a 63 A/C system. Unfortunately mine has more than the end holes, lots of small pin holes.

It's in the water line not the freon line.. I think it's called the hot water tube.

Anyway, if you can locate a PN on this I would appreciate it.

    Thanks

Harry, I thought I just saw one of those pipes on E/bay just recently. Ed

I believe it was GM #3838276. For 1964-65 it became GM #3854099. So, can you get it from GM? Not now or EVER. As far as I can ascertain, neither piece was ever available from GM in SERVICE.

Joe, I've never seen one either. I know LIC sells the 64 to 67 tube and it needs bending to look like a 63 tube. We heated one today, got a slight bend but nothing like the original.

        Thank You

            Harry and Joe,

The blueprint for GM 3838276 is shown in Adams, p. 119, it may help to verify your original. The blueprint for GM 3854099 is shown on p. 219.

Scott, mine with the pin holes is just like the one on page 119.
