Looks as I expected. 1971 L48 F09 build date. They really hustled this Dec 29th engine from Flint to St Louis I guess.

Aerosol paint stripper sprayed into a cup and applied with a tooth brush.

My 71 is a few days later. #6589, 588 cars after yours.

Engine Assembly....0107 January 07, 1971
Trim Tag F14.... January 14, 1970
Pads look very similar! But, look at the different fonts used for the C and the J!

I see what you mean Alan. Those "J"s are very different. Interesting.
