I have a '67 L79/ps car..."HT" engine.....It has the double deep grooves for the the water pump and crank...The p/s pulley is cast iron drop down...Had no issues with the Quantas belts not fitting...noticed that the water pump pulley is a tad bit smaller in diameter than the crank pulley......P.

I take it your car has the longer belt that goes around the water pump pulley like it shows in the AIM. Could you tell me the approximate build date of your car? Thanks

Dennis you are correct that the belt goes all the way around...Engine was assembled Feb 15 and car was made 4 week In Feb 1967....P...

I'm going to go up to my shop in a day or two and take some pictures. I think they will help explain a lot. It's been raining steadily up here, and the wet weather has my arthritis going so I can't do much. I'll get back on this when the weather dries up a bit. Gettin' old is a bitch.
