1990 Interior lights relay

My friend has a 1990 convertible and he is having the following problem. The relay for dome light continues open and close on it and it's draining the battery. The relay is located under the passenger glove box. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not 100% sure on a '90 but the lights/relay should be controled bu the CCM (Central Control Module). The relay is turned on by grounding it either from the CCM or the headlight interior light dimmer switch. Many times, it's a bad door switch that keeps these lights "always on". The "opening and closing" is a bit strange if the car hasn't been touched.

I think Bill has the right idea,The switch contacts may just be bad. It may require unplugging the switch for each door to finf out which door switch is having the problem, more than likely the drivers since this is the door that open and closes the most.

had the same problem on my 94. turned out to be the switch on the drivers side door. 20 bucks later it was fixed
