I disagree. The OP said in his first post that the drum turned freely. Stu assumed that the drum might be grooved causing the shoes to hold it on. If this were the case, the drum would still move a little back and forth and not be fixed hard against the hub. The drum was rusted on, probably at the studs. That's where it usually occurs.
