    1962 Power windows

Since the car is apart I am considering putting in power windows. Where do the switches go and what do they look like. Can someone please provide a couple of pictures of the switches, their placement and where the wires go thru the door.
    Thanks,
    Ted

Ted good luck with your project. I don't have any pictures but would recommend you consider getting the Restoration and Technical Guide book and the Assembly Manual and/or similar publications, these will have detailed pictures and diagrams with part number listings. Just a quick Google search for 62 Corvette power windows revealed a number of videos online showing this option. NCRS has numerous resource publications you can access

There are a couple of places that make after market power windows for your car. The switches will not cover up the holes that the crack handle comes thru, so it's either new door panels or one company makes it so you can use the old crack handle as a switch. Not at home right now or I could give you their name. The switches look like regular Chevy power window switches, google that and I,m sure you can find them.

Power window kits can be purchased from Auto City Classic Inc.
They also sell switches which are pretty nice.
I believe if you remove a door panel you will see a stamped area where the switches go, a double switch on the drivers door and a single on the passenger door. The area needs to be cut out for the switch.
Remember what Terry D. mentioned, if you use your door panels there will be holes where the window cranks go.
