I was removing the undercoating on my 1971 I was doing it in stages and trying different products. I was at a supply conference a couple of weeks ago and stopped by a booth for different Green Cleaning Products he gave me samples of this product and told me to try it. i was amazed it melts the 40 year old undercoating right off. You spray it on let it sit and scrap it off with a plastic scrapper. You can then spray it and wipe down with paper towels. I ordered a case it will take a 32oz bottle to do a car if it is really bad it might take two. I will be selling the rest of the case that i don't use.

It's 8 days later and you still haven't let us know which "green cleaning product" this is?
Is it going to remain a secret?

Re: Undercoating removal
It is not available over the counter, I ordered a case from the manufacturer he is just starting to mass produce it. When I spoke to him earlier this week he was waiting for the raw materials to come in. It seems as if he is a startup company that was at a industry supply show that I attended. I am waiting to receive my first case all I can say is that the sample bottles that he gave me worked excellent it was no effort to remove. It even got on my paint and did no damage.- Top

Re: Undercoating removal
It does sound to good to be true, but thats technology. In the past I always used lacquer thinner and a scrapper and removed the unwanted undercoating or paint in layers so I would not do any damage to the under body fiberglass. When I finally removed all the coating, I would then clean it with Simple Green and water to nutrelize the lacquer thinner.
