    C-1 3rd Arm Mounting

I was in the process of changing my Rad support cushions and noticed that the cushions on the 3rd arm securing it to the cross member are in pretty rough shape. I called the Corvette Suppliers and they say there are no cushions between the 3rd arm and the cross member. I think they are wrong. I checked the assembly manuals for 59, 60 and 62, but there are no clear pictures. I don't believe this was ever apart on my 59, so I'm thinking it may be from the factory. If they were installed at the factory, where do you purchase them. I was thinking a second rad support kit should work.

They misunderstood what you were talking about. They were correct that there are no cushions between the third arm bracket and the suspension crossmember but there are cushions between the radiator support and the forward extension of the third arm bracket that the radiator support sits on. My '59 is also original and never been apart. It appears to be just 2 rectangular pieces of rubber. Probably the same stuff as used in other locations for the body mounts. I checked in my yet unused body mount kit from CSC and there are not pieces for this location included.

However I think that I found them in the Echler's catalog in a complete kit. Part number A4324. This may be just the side supports but they look to be the same thing.
