62 interior stainless problem

On my 62 there are two short pieces of stainless on either side of the button that releases the deck to raise the soft top. One piece has come off. What is the procedure to install this? Do I slide it down over the two retainer devices or what? Any help appreciated. Bill

Bill, The retainers have ears that stick out on each side. The trims should just snap on. You may have to bend the ears a bit(carefully) or re-bend the inside edges of the trim to get a better fit.

Also, when I installed mine, I also put some masking tape along the inside edge so when I snapped/slid them on, I would not damage the paint.
