I would ask the restorer how well the wheel will stand up if the car is driven a lot.
In my opinion they usually crack although I have no experience with Dunhams wheels.

I used Mark Kinler with Delkin Motor Sports (in Driveline) for my 58...... (337) 233-233-9179..... looks great and was done over 5 years ago with no cracking....

Although I have only had one wheel done it cracked (I drive the car). I sent it back and it was repaired but is cracking again. I have heard this will happen with any repair if the car is used. Don H.

Just received my restored wheel from Richard. He clearly is the best no doubts in my mind.

I should add my wheel was not done by Richard, sorry if that was implied. Richard told me it should not crack, even with use. This was a generalization of repaired wheels. It would be interesting to hear from others that drive their cars and time (since restoration). I hope others have better news. Don H.

Just a guess but the skeletal metal structure has the flat spokes butt welded to the rim. the welds break or crack and if a restoration does not address broken or cracked welds, the plastic wheel is guaranteed to crack.

It would be an interesting to hear how a restorer address the welds.
