    1967 ECL Trim Tag Suffix

Need help to determine options with trim tag 402BA? Is it posible to have the following options:
    A82,
    A01,
    A02,
    A31,
    M21,
    N36,
    N40,
    C60,
    j50

    Thanks for any help.

According to Noland Adam's book, if you have "BA", it is not used with A82.

Are you sure the trim tag numbers are "402" ? ie. black leather ? If so, I would expect to see 402AA, whether coupe or convertible, with black leather; even though we normally associate the first suffix letter "B" with convertible series of ECL's on Dow-Smith bodies.

ECL codes have nothing to do with options A01, A02, N36, N40, C60 or J50, as the interior body trim is not affected by whether these options are present or not.

Yes, A82 and A31 (and other body options) determine the ECL codes on non-black interior trim. M21 affects but only indirectly, as the base center shifter console is for all manual transmissions (3-speed or 4), and only the automatic trans M35 would call for a different ECL code.

          Grant -

Unless it's a plant error on the tag, both Noland's book and the NCRS "Trim Tag Book" show that the only ECL code used in '67 with the 402 black leather interior was "AA", regardless of whether it's a coupe or convertible; neither reference shows a "402BA" trim/ECL code.

Thanks to both Wayne ane John for their responses. Yes the trim tag is 402BA with a body # S6542 built in March '67. No tank sticker to verrify.
