'69 Horn Relay Question

I find the description if the horn relay in the Third Edition 68-69 TIM&JG (pg. 70) to be confusing. It states that the plastic base for '68 was white and black for '69. But further down in the paragraph it states that the '68 part number (1115862) was carried over into '69 until approximately s/n 9000 when it changed to 1115890. Does this mean that early '69's typically have an 862 w/ white base or is there such a thing as an 862 with black base? I suspect it's the former.

The original horn relay on my '69 is an off white/clear"ish" plastic and it is the 862. Serial number 5_ _ _. Every 890 I have seen has had black plastic.

I assumed that would be the answer but wanted to be sure before spending the money on an original 862.
