Replacment Trim Tag on my 67

Can some one tell me if it may be possible to have a REPO trim tag verified by NCRS as being a copy of a lost original,
And NO I do not have a tank sticker, I do have information from past owners stating the exact info that was on my original Tag back to 1986, I think I know the answer , however I thought I would throw it out for opinions.
    thanks

My first question would be "how do you lose a trim tag that was riveted to the car"? Second question would be "why was it removed"?

I believe that if you have other documentation that can be confirmed/authenticated by Roy Sinor such as a POP, order copy, tank sticker, etc. that can confirm the data found on a trim tag and you remove the repro that the car can be judged based on its merits and not receive the trim tag deduction/automatic Second Flight. If this is not the case, then IMHO it ought to be, considering we have a book on POPs that is as definitive as the Trim Tag book.

Firstly the tag was "lost" or removed 3 owners ago when the car received a colour change. The data from the old tag was tranfered to the repo tag, except for the colour code
I do not have any GM documentation.
Roy , thankyou for the explaination, so as I understand the rules the car can never be Judged.

            Terry,
            Terry,

Never is an all-encompassing word that I try to avoid. Under our present system with the present rules the system does not accommodate vehicles with non GM issued trim tags or GM issued trim tags that for one reason or another are deemed non original to the vehicle.

There is a difference in lost during restoration and removed for a color change, you do realize you could put the original tag back on the car and in the judging process you would only lose points associated with the wrong color or 85 points. If the tag exists somewhere with one of those previous owners I would suggest you pursue that avenue.
