Hi Jim,
From those 4 pictures I'd say its quite a beauty!!
I can't quite tell from your wording if it's a new old car for him or not?
I'd think there are at least a couple of ways for him to enjoy owning and driving it.

Very nice car. Hope he keeps it original. I too own a 74 (coupe) that is mostly original. I think this is a very overlooked year. I see it as the last Corvette before real smog regulations. If you check the specs on the small block L48, you can easily compare it with earlier C3s, as the specs are the same. Only the horsepower rating is different. Last year for leaded fuel and real dual exhaust. (no stupid Y pipe.) I love all Corvettes but the C3s are first in my heart. I am confident that the mid 70s cars wil increase in value soon.

Very nice convertible ! Nice, a guy could order what he wanted on a Corvette. Silver/ Black convertiblle top, 4speed, black leather custom interior, no air, no power windows, AM/FM. Nice dual exhaust 4 speed that every young blooded American boy wanted. Sold them new back then. Loved them then.....Love em still.
Did he order new ? Buy off lot ? Little more info & more pic's please.

It's good to see original cars. Now I don't have to worry too much when I glue on my new weatherstrips. Nice car.
