Bill, There was a posting about a Sid Drucker Associates who used to sell tire dye but the posting was pretty old. I couldn't find any current information. On the tire tub clearance issue, was it a thickness or a diameter problem. If it is thickness I have the longest front tire tub bolts 10 1/4" I think. Plus I've added 5 or 6 washers to extend the bolts an additional 1/2" to 5/8".

Yes, that was him. I will try and dig out his info. I think the clearance issue was twofold, as its the profile of the tire that is the problem, would not fit with the longest front bolts and long rear

Just an update. Has anyone tried to purchase a set of Michelin Symmetry tires in the P215/70-R15 with the 3/8"-1/2" white line? I have tried to purchase locally & with five or six online tire supplier. No luck, apparently Symmetrys in this size were discontinued some time last year. Same with the Vogue Tyre in the same size with the whiteline or gold line, not the Vogue with a white wall with a gold line. No longer available in the size need for our Vettes.

          Thanks
The Pirelli P4000 Super Touring is a V rated tire. Only available in blackwall, but a great tire.

At the risk of really asking a dumb question. Here goes. It looks like the 215/70/15 size has no fit or interference issues on a midyear.
But; if you put a wider tire on(70 series vs. 75 series); will a non-power steering car be harder to steer?

I agree on Michelin tires, I have them on my '67 Corvette,Toyota truck, the wifes Camry and our motorhome.
It is the only brand I will buy.
