    cooling system corosion C2

I vintage road race my 64 FI car. Vintage racing rules prohibit use of antifreeze coolant. If it gets on the track its slippery. I use water and a water wetter solution. During my winter inspection I noticed that there was a white deposit around the coolant holes in the block in the rear and front at the head/block interface. I think this is corrosion. The radiator is aluminum. Any suggestions how to combat this. Jerry

I would use a product made by Pencool. It is sold at most HD truck parts stores under various names, Wix # 24058, Ford FW-15, FW-16, and VC-8, Fleetgard DCA-2.

Can also use Valvoline (owns Zerex) racing coolant. Corrosion protection but no antifreeze components.
