67 Big Block Hood Paint

Hello to all,
On the under side part of a big block hood does the scoop piece that overhangs the wiper area get body paint or black out? I know on a small block hood that the body paint goes on the underside lip over to the reinfocement but this area is outside that reinforcement.

Everything outside of the reinforcement gets body paint.

Well known Bowtie 67 435 with awesome original paint showing typical hood paint and stripe over spray. Have many more original paint pictures showing same. This picture before car was cleaned up for judging.

Everything outside of the reinforcement gets body paint.

Not true, the entire front edge gets NO PAINT at all. The hood was installed on the body prior to paint. This forward area will have some overspray of primer, or color at best.

If you have more pictures of original paint especially hood stripe, surface texture, door jambs and low coverage areas I would love to have some for paint seminars. Thanks
