Identify this trunk latch
My trunk latch mechanism was broke so I bought another on-line. While it's nearly identical to my original, the spring-loaded latch that pivots on the shaft is a different shape than the original and the "ear" on the fixed upper piece that extends in the same direction as the latch is thinner. (see attached pics - original is the third pic and the replacement is the middle photo) Could this still be a Corvette mechanism or was a version of it used on passenger vehicles?
