    63 z06 coupe sell for 48,000.00

    A rough Z06 sold at auction for 48,000.00 today. I was ROUGH because it was raced all of its life. Hit hard in the front coner,not the original motor but most of the rare parts went with the car except the FI unit which sold for 6,000.00. It would take a ton of money to put it back together.

      The paperwork and ''history'' of the car was the value Ken. And all the brake parts were there including the Z0-6 Power booster and very rare master cylinder. There were NOS brake shoes also.

      Collectors tell me $25000-$30000 is the value on complete brake Z0-6 assemblies. So if you look at this value, then the car and ''ORIGINAL VIN TAG, AND TRIM TAG'' in the restorable bird cage sold for $18000. DAYTONA Blue and Saddle leather is a pretty nice combo also. Next year the 63 is 50 years old. Watch this car show up for sale. Nabers brothers are probably on their way to Southern Indiana as I write this.

          I agree & I said the same thing on the CF. As you said the history,paperwork & Z06 brake stuff would make it worth money wise but the best part is that another Z06 will come back to life. I lived in N. IN. till this year & chased Corvettes all over the midwest but never heard of this guy or the Z06. I bought a Corvette from a guy in Dillsboro which is close to where the Z06 was. He lived in a silo & had a nice original 53 that PROTEAM ended up with years later.

              The last I heard PROTEAM bought the Z03. See the CF thread for picts & tons of info.
