'66 Exhaust Manifold/French Lock

After having some top end work done on my '66. I'm having issues getting the ignition shielding back on - go figure.

Anyway, there were no french locks on the exhaust manifolds when the project began. I purchased some from LIC and installed. But, they seem to be different than what the AIM shows and appear to be causing interference. Does anyone have a picture of the correct french lock for a '66 exhaust manifold?

Finally, what is the trick to installing the shielding again without getting a "A+" in profanity.
