It surprises me that they're both for sale. As you know he has a unique custom-designed home. It was a privilege to visit there with the Chapter a couple of years ago.

The home has been for sale for several years. There was a stunning real estate listing on the web, but I can't find it right now. Here is a link to a recent Detroit Free Press story.

The older one gets the closer one needs to live near palm trees. Come on Doctor, you should know that. Here in 9 yrs, 27 days, 54 minutes, I'm gonna sell my home here in Hooterville and move to S. Florida. You know...get away from it all.

Apparently when we visited it was during the time it was off the market, as per the first link you referenced.
You could see how much Dave and Glenda enjoyed it by the way the spoke about the home and told its story.

It's quite a unique home; you could live in the "garage" building and never need the main home.

I couldn't stand the months from April to October in Florida. Unlike our friend Pasta I can't stand heat or humidity.

Geez, maybe Dave would like to trade for my 1700 sq. ft. house on a 2500 sq. ft. lot in Redondo Beach, but I would actually want a little cash back.

But then I don't like the weather in Michigan, and I don't have a lawn that needs maintenance. My rocks and railroad ties pretty much take care of themselves except for me pulling weeds a few time a year between December and May.

If Dave's main house with a 2 or three car garage could be crammed onto a big "city lot" near me, it would be worth several million.
