Would somebody be so kind as to post a picture or two of the original rear carpet configuration around the spring/hinge assembly for the rear deck? I found a couple pictures in the archives, but there were substantial differences between them. Thanks.

Re: 1970 Convertible Rear Carpet
Thanks Reba. I'm familiar with how the rear piece of carpet should be glued to the inboard sides of the hinges as shown in the JG. The part I'm looking for a little more detail on is where the flat section behind the wheel well meets up with the metal based of the hinge assembly. I just wanted to get a look at an original before i start cutting. Thanks.- Top

Re: 1970 Convertible Rear Carpet
I didn't think they showed what you asked about, but they were as close as I could get. Sorry.
Edit add: They are absolutely -- take it to the bank original. 1970 built E06 -- first day after the 1970 work stoppage. Some very interesting parts and dates on that car, as one would expect.Last edited by Terry M.; April 10, 2012, 09:28 PM.Terry- Top

Re: 1970 Convertible Rear Carpet
Tom, the carpet on my 70 is not original, but I was never told in judging it was incorrect. Does this view help?
