C2_Speedometer lags during acceleration

63_When I accelerate the speedometer lags: i.e if I accelerate and then hold steady, after I have stopped accelerating the speedometer needle continues to move before holding steady. Is this a calibration issue? I have checked the steady speed readings both with a GPS unit and compared to another car speed and all appears in order. I recently had the speedo and tac "refreshed" when I had the odometer gears replaced.

The first and easiest thing to check is the cable for wear. Look for a somewhat rounded end where it is supposed to be square.
