Can anyone suggest a source to repair/rebuild a 65 Corvette AC compressor?

Try Domenic Tallarita @ (760)831-2095. He rebuilt the A-6 on my 66' coupe and did a great job. Doesn't leak and very quiet. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I`m also in need of a compressor rebuild for my original 65. Does Domenic also do system evacuation and recharge (R-12).

Bruce and Chuck, you may also want to try Old Air Products (www.oldairproducts.com). They rebuilt my '78s R4 compressor back in 2002 and it's still functioning as well as it ever did. I know they did A6 rebuilds then too. Looking at their website they seem to be more into new systems for old cars, but you might check with them anyway. When I selected them back in 2002 there were several on this TDB that recommended them.

I recommend, talking to Domenic, prior to choosing a rebuilder. You'll receive excellent information to ensure the compressor is rebuilt correctly.

I am with highly recommending Domenick. As far as I know, he is the only one that can do it right, and he's a member of our organization! You will not be sorry. At least talk with him first before sending it anywhere. Super guy!
