    1959 leaf spring question

Does the part number and date code appear on the bottom of all the leafs or just the shortest leaf? Is a date code preceding the car assembly date by 6 months a common scenario?

The part number and julian date are located on the short leaf only. My original leaf springs were severely damaged, so I found a nice original set, used all the longer leafs with my original short ones to keep my car correct and sold the short ones from the good set to a fellow NCRS member who needed the dates on the short ones to make his corvette correct.

6 months would be very uncommon.
