    1957 fuel tank replacement

    Am I correct in thinking the fuel tank in a 1957 corvette comes out through the top deck? I am going to replace the original tank due to particles in it and I was wondering what the procedure is?

      First, disconnect battery and remove fuel from tank.

      Open the deck lid (convertible top compartment), remove the gas tank cover, remove bolt(s) in the 2 tank straps, remove wires and fuel line from fuel gauge sender and lift tank out.
