'65 396 Upper Radiator Support to Hood Rubber Seal Length

I need to know what the correct length is for the rubber seal that fits between the top of the radiator support and the underside of the hood on a '65 396 Corvette. I'm looking for someone with an orginal/unrestored car that can give me this information. Thanks in advance.

James -- I threw my original away; didn't know what it was, jammed between the rad and the support . The '65 TIM&JG 5th ed. only says "rubber seal is present at top of the core support to seal the hood for improved cooling. The addition of the seal is a running change; VIN unknown".

However, Technical Service Dept. Information Bulletin dated 7/16/65 says:

"Owners of early (L78) corvettes may experience hood flutter, or in extreme cases, hood rapping on the rad support. .... rapping can be corrected and flutter reduced considerably by cementing a 1_1/2 foot length of rubber seal, part # 3827365 to the top of the rad suport to insulate the points of hood contact. .... an identical fix went into production on vehicles built after serial # S116736."
