X58 and X8 power pack heads

    X58 and X8 power pack heads

    I just got a engine for my 58 and both heads are 3748770 but one has X58 and the other one has X8. What is the difference between X58 and X8.

      Hi Brandon I have not seen a head with X8, could you post the head dates. I guess it could be a casting error. Phil 8063

        The head dates is E148 and E158

          How are they spaced? X8 or X 8

              That would leave me to believe it was a simple error in the core at the foundry, unusual, but certainly "production" in terms of being put into the general line of production once cast.
