My wiper motor seems to be working on high speed only. I have replaced the wiper switch but no luck. I checked the plug and all three spades are in the plug correctly, anyone?

Re: 1970 wiper motor
One common issue in early C3s is the loss of ground to the wiper switch when the instrument bezel cracks at the weak point right above the gauges and below the wiper switch. Be sure the wiper switch is well grounded for optimum operation.Terry- Top

Re: 1970 wiper motor
Just for troubleshooting try a jumper wire from the steering column lower mount or the metal mount for the vacuum over rides under the column over to the screw that goes up into the wiper switch. Back that screw out a little so you can catch it with the alligator clip. If that "cures" your problem you can take your time to figure out a more permanent hook up. Someone else on here should have dealt with this, if that becomes necessary. It is an all too common problem.Terry- Top

Re: 1970 wiper motor
Jeff, there is also a terminal board with a small resistor on wiper motor that is used to cut the voltage down to slow down the motor for low speed operation. it is grounded to the motor housing. this board has the three wires attached to it.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
