67 Hardtop- Getting back to my project

Here's what it looked like a year or so ago, after I took the incorrect 1972 white vinyl off:

Well, after experimenting with paint to get just the right Marina Blue, I finally got it painted:

Sorry guys, here's the paint I used, BC/CC. I just couldn't get the color right with lacquer.
It is a little shiny, but by the time I drive it to San Diego, it will probably dull down a little and look like lacquer.

Surely this time, I won't put a ski rack on it. I remember that the suction cups sure screwed up my incorrect white vinyl.
    Here we are in 86.

Now for assembly of the hardtop, stay tuned.

    Just having fun,

      Joe,

With the shiny paint on the hardtop, I guess the car will go faster. Less aerodynamic resistance = more speed. Us guys with the drivers need every advantage we can get.

But here's a serious question on the rear window, as I know you just refinished yours. Here's my rear window setup:

Have you, or anyone else here, used the Micro Surface kit pictured below.

      Any advice.

        Jerry,
I just finished yesterday my 67 hardtop. I used the same compounds that I used on the paint to polish out the rear window. Starting with a less abrasive and finishing with the super fine stuff. All work was done by hand no machine. But if you are secure using a machine than have at it.
