Can anyone provide installation tips for putting a side window into a C2 coupe. Experience with convertibles does not seem to be the best way for coupe side window installation. Any comments or tricks for this task would be greatly appreciated! thanks

Re: C2 Side window installation tips
Bruce,
I struggled with this on my coupe even after gathering installation information from searching the archives of this Board. Basicly you have to manage three things at once to get the sided window installed and have four hands.
1. install the vent window loose with the bottom adjusting bolt screwed in as far as it can go. Make sure the adjusting bolt threads with ease.
2. install the rear side window guide with whiskers and the whiskers up the rear of the door. Leave the whiskers at the top loose so the vent window can be tilted to the rear.
3. using "duct tape" install handles on the top of the side window that project 6-8 inches above the window.
4. lower the window in the door and set it in the rear guide and then move the vent window into position to capture the window.
5. loosely secure the vent and attach the window to the track.
6. finally secure the vent and top part of the whiskers and button everything up.
Finally it is easier if you have help to handle the window.
Hope this help and gets the post to top.
