66 427 stamp pad opinions???

    66 427 stamp pad opinions???

    I understand the pictures arent great but any opinions or thoughts on this pad?

      Well, based on previous thoughts here, the messier and less neat it is the better, so this is good. Can't see the broach marks though, but could have been done at the end of the broach machine's cutter life, I've heard that one before too.

        I see what looks to be possible broach marks on the upper right in the first photo and the center forward edge in the second picture. I'm curious about the "ghosting" of the ID stamp. The characters at each end "T" and "L" have little or no ghosting at all while the characters in the center "9" and "3" are clearly double stamped. I could understand an even amount of ghosting across the letters or ghosting that increases from one end to the other but what is the explanation for the ghosting pattern that appears in these pictures?

          To me it looks like it's double stamped evenly. You can't see the T as it's to close to the head. The L is stamped separately. That's my take.
