I am restoring my 1967 Corvette Convertible. It was my dad's car that he bought used from a local owner in 1972. It was kept all original, which leads me to my question, this is a 327/300 factory air car. When I disassembled the front suspension I found spring cushions under the front coil springs. Everything I read says that spring cushions were never used except for big blocks with air. Does anyone have any other information that may be of help. I know my dad did not put them on the car and it seems odd that the original owner would have during the first 5 years of the car's life.

These may have been installed by dealers if an owner complained about too low of a front ride height. The original owner may have so-complained.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
