Lance and Dave,

Y'al are using modern tires. Road racing in the late 60's was interesting on the current tires then, can't imagine what it was like in the 50's, which were much worse.

Gary- I honestly can't imagine, just downright scary! Heck, you can probably tell in my video the tires are shot - however my shot tires were still much better than the old school tires they used!

Gary, I can't Imagine running on some of the tires that the hard core racers of the 50's and 60's used. We are using wider and better compound tires than they had available back in the day. BUT some of our modern day Vintage racers (Lance) are still using drum brakes and that scares the heck out of me.

Dave,

Lance needs to practice grabbing the emergency brake when pumping the pedal fails and there's no run off. Sometimes that works.
