I DON'T WANT TO ADD TO ANY BASHING HERE HECTOR, BUT HERE ARE THE PHOTOS TAKEN LAST SATURDAY MARCH 17, 2012. DOUG DEWER'S WIFE MARYANN IS IN THE PHOTO NEXT TO KEVIN. THEN KEVIN DRIVES THE CAR INTO THE TRAILER FOR ITS CROSS COUNTRY TRIP BACK TO LONG ISLAND. I HOPE THESE HELP CLEAR UP AND CONFUSION ABOUT THE PURCHASE OF THIS CAR.





THESE TWO PHOTOS ARE OF 2ND OWNER RON CASSILE TAKING HIS DRIVER TEST AT RIVERSIDE IN SEPTEMBER 1968. THE ''X'' ON THE SIDE BEFORE THE 92 NUMBER INDICATES HE IS A NOVICE, OR NEW DRIVER. THE DASH SHOWS SOME OWNER MODIFICATIONS .

Hey James, in regard to "BASHING", I haven't taken anything either you or Phil has said as "BASHING" or personally and I hope neither of you has taken offense to anything I said. I don't know either of you. I'm sure you're both good guys. By the way, did anyone take any pictures of the buyer

I would like to add a comment. This L-88 was recommended to me by Dick Guldstrand many years ago. In 1996 I flew out to the west coast to visit with Doug and Maryann Dewar. Doug invited me out to his home, the exact same home where these pictures were taken with Maryann Dewar and Kevin Mackay. I inspected this car, inspected the original sales paperwork from Dana Chevrolet, and photographed the car for future use in my book. This is a real L-88 Corvette. Kevin purchased one of the original 20 L-88 Corvettes that were built in 1967. Period.

This L-88 Corvette has a wonderful history and I am positive that it will be well taken care of and preserved for future generations by Kevin Mackay. There are very few individuals in the world who can provide a home for these rare and spectactular Corvettes. Kevin Mackay in one of those individuals.
