'67 standard wheel paint application

Hi - is the '67 standard wheel painted Argent Silver all-over (front & back) or just on the front where trim rings & hubcap are fitted? The '67 JG doesn't specify.

My 67 original spare is black on the black with silver overspray....

yes the overspray is through the rally wheel holes onto the black paint on the back...

thanks John. Just to clarify, are you saying your spare is fully painted silver on the front with some silver overspray over black on the rear?

Yes, mine is also.
1967 Feb. build.

Gary,

The complete wheel is dip primed in black lacquer primer then the face of the wheel is painted argent enamel. Overspray is visable on the back because no tape was used to prevent overspray.
