Hi, I want to get my windshield washer working better. I had the wiper motor rebuilt, but the washer didn't work. I have installed a new kit and it works a little. I am starting to get ready for the National and I need it to work better, Thanks for your help. Terry

Re: Who sells the best windshield washer kit
Terry,
Not sure who makes the best windshield washer kit, but they don't make the little rubber inserts in the check valve like they use to.
Take a look at this thread from the achives:
https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthre...llows&uid=4105
In it you will see a photo of a replacement check valve vs an original one. I found that the little rubber inserts on the replacement I had just did not seat well on the pump cycle. I wound up reusing my original and putting some Sly-Glyde (like vaseline) under the seating surfaces of the rubber inserts. Works well now and I occasionally have to prime the washers with a catheter syringe (forcing washer fluid in from the reservoir end).
If you can suck fluid from the reservoir end, then there is something wrong with the valve seating.
Try priming the washers first, see if that solves the problem. If not, then take the pump apart, grease up the check valve seats (Sly-Glyde), or replace the check valve and grease it.Jerry Fuccillo
