    carb jets for big block

Wonder if mixture is lean in my stock '67 L36 with stock #65 primary jets in new, correct, Holley 3811 carb? AC R44XLS plugs definitely were too white before I corrected a vacuum leak. After correcting and after about 40 miles of varied driving, the extend tip insulators have only a small pie shaped area of tan color on just one side of insulator; rest is white. Is this Ok, or lean, or should I give it a few more miles of driving and recheck? I live at only about 100 ft. above sea level. Using non ethanol Shell 93 octane.
    Thanks in advance

      Clem,
Thanks for reply. I should emphasize that the mostly white color of the insulator is just the clean white of the porcelain itself, not a deposit. The only deposit is a small disc of light tan. Carb has the stock #65 jets. Still OK for these extened tip plugs or would you go richer?
      thanks again

compare the color of the porcelain to a brand new plug and if your is a darker shade than the new plug you are good to go
