    Please identify these horns 463/464

463/464 horns were on my 63 when I bought it. I've since replaced them with restored 455/456.

I'm curious if anyone knows what application they're correct for and if they're worth anything.
I know they are not 1953-1967 Corvette horns, because they are not listed in the NCRS Corvette Specifications Guide.

If you want to find out the original application you will have to buy some 1962-1963 Chevrolet and/or other 1962-1963 GM assembly manuals as this is where the GM part numbers for horns are listed (UPC 12). The Chevrolet & other GM parts catalogs only list service horn part numbers.

      "463 2F4" = GM # 9000463, dated 1962, June, 4th week
      "464 2H5" = GM # 9000464, dated 1962, August, 5th week

The 1962 Corvette used 9000441/9000442 horns.
The 1963 Chevrolet used 9000457/9000458 or optional 9000477/9000478 horns.

I have 29 different GM assembly manuals for various models from 1962 to 1972 as well as about 50 or more VINTAGE Chevrolet parts catalogs from 1957 to 1981 as well as Chevrolet & GM parts history manuals from 1963 to 1990.
It's not a question of being "stumped", it's how much you want to spend on your "library".

Last year I sold a matched pair of 429/430 horns that I removed from a 63 Cadillac back in the 1980's.

Back in the 1980's I made some full scale drawings of a matched pair of original 63 Corvette horns as shown in the link below. With a lot of work you can make a set of 63 Corvette horns from a pair of other 63 GM horns. I have not tried this but others have.

William, Those horns look like 1963 horns from Impala, google the part # to know for sure. The fronts are useful to horn restorers because they look the same as 1963 corvette horns.

All 1963 (and 1962 as well) Delco Remy horns are the same (L & R) EXCEPT for the bracket in the back. The 63 Chevrolet used the 457/458 horns (optional 477/478 as per the AIM). I have had several sets of 457/458 horns over the years and they all came from 1963 Chevrolets with date codes that matched with the car.

The 463/464 horns might be from a Buick, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, or a Chev/GMC truck.
