    54 oil pan leak

I fired up the chasis this morning and I have a oil leak at the front of the pan. Question........ does the two bolts that bolt to the timing cover from the inside need to be sealed? The pan and timing cover seal dont show signs of leakage. I didnt seal thse bolts. I appreciate the help.

    Re: 54 oil pan leak

are you sure where it is coming from....
the leak from a couple places.....
at the corners of the pan....
    at the front timing cover
and from the oil hole - to the left of the water pump - should have a freeze type plug pressed into it

I have take a syringe full of RTV and sealed the corners at the pan.
the needle can get into small places
