John, I agree with Chuck. I used Tom Sunday to bring my 1969 from Texas to the Chicago area in fall of 2009. They were easy to deal with and waited 1 1/2 days in Texas with no extra charge when the USPS misplaced the certified letter that contained the check to pay for the car.

Forget the brokers that will deluge you with e-mails; they'll just place the job with the independent operator that will give them the best profit, and you'll end up with Redneck Ronnie and his Rusty Open Rig. Stick with the well-known enclosed carriers with established reputations.

I used Atlantic last week to bring a Chevy Colorado from Tampa Fl to Niagara Falls NY . They were on time and reasonable . $ 500.00 open Carrier.

Another vote for Intercity. I used them in 2006 to ship from South Florida to Kansas City and very pleased. Previously used Passport before they were FedEx and they were very good as well.

Whatever you do, do NOT even consider DAS auto transport..

I concur with Bill. I used DAS once and the experience was unpleasant from end to end. Never again.

As mentioned, Inter City, Exotic and Horseless are all good, but I found them pricey.

Two I have used that are excellent, and fairly priced: McLaughlin Tranport and Thomas Sunday.

I will ditto what has been said: NEVER use DAS

But isn't Intercity a broker rather than a shipper? Seems like the general advice on this is to avoid brokers.

Intercity is NOT a broker. I've used them several times and they are highly recommended.

As mentioned above Intercity is not a Broker. They are family owned and operated by Dave Wilson and the Wilson's are involved on a day to day basis. Their office is right next to their home. They have been doing it the right way for over 30 years.
