I had good luck with RELIABLE 800 833 7411. I had 2 67 corvettes moved from IN. to my new home in Phoenix Az. Cars cot here in 5 days & in great shape. Super people to deal with.

John, we have used Exotic Car Transport a couple of times and were very happy with them. Price was very reasonable and communcation was fantastic. Fred Koller at Concours Transport is also very good.

Whatever you do, do NOT even consider DAS auto transport.

I have had the opportunity to view this company in action a few times, I cannot imagine a worse experience in so many areas for the people and cars involved.

In all cases they were the best rate quoted and jumped to get the job. Straight downhill from then on.

Last month I got an education after posting on line wanting my '67 shipped from Columbus, OH to Ft. Myers, FL this fall. I was, as Flold states, overwhelmed with e-mails and phone calls for TWO weeks! Have decided on a freiend with a dually and enclosed trailer.

There is a TV show called Shipping Wars, they are the people that bid on moving your car or what you may have, watch it once, if you can stand it, and you would never go thru a broker. I think what was said... use a known or highly recomended company.

Passport and Horseless Carriage are two more first class carriers. Passport is what was FedX. The managers of the company bought it from FedX. Horseless Carriage is one of the older shippers, having been around iver 25 years.

I think you rate will depend on the pickup and delivery times. It is not like any of these companies mentioned have a truck running thru your town every day.

I am fortunate that we have a Horseless Carriage driver that lives here. Not too hard for me to get something shipped.

I would NEVER use a broker or one man band driver. I would look at transport co. like a Corvette restorer. You want one that you can trust & do agood job for a reasonable price. Usually as with both you will get what you pay for.

My friends and I have been more then pleased when we have used Inter City - I have used one of the other Companies that advertises in all major media - the equipment used to get my car shipped was not the best. I also waited over a week for the car to be delivered - was unloaded twice to sit in a warehouse for the next connecting ride.

I highly recommend InterCity. They treat your car as if it was there own. You can get a discount if you tell them you are a member of the CorvetteForum and saw their posts on that site.

I too would recommend Intercity. I have had excellent personal results with them and they are NCRS members and Driveline advertisers. They cater to those of us who demand customer service and quality.
