wrench for BB distributor hold down

Had a devil of a time loosening/tightening the distributor hold down bolt while setting the timing on my '67 L36 with lower shielding in place. Finally got it with an old distributor wrench but it still banged into manifold, distributor, and shielding. Anyone have a special wrench or trick to make this easier? This is my first BB.
    Thanks in advance

Use a torch to convert a 9/16 box wrench into what you want or you can cut off a box end & leave about 3 inches to make a small wrench that works very well.

Most of the major tool manufacturers has a wrench. I have a Snap On, KD, and a Mac distributor wrench

Actuallyon a BB, with shielding installed, it is almost impossable to access the distributor hold down bolt w/any of the commercial distributor wrenches I've ever tried. That's why I told the OP to make his own.

I guess I am living in the past I was straightening up my tool box the other day and found my KD tool kit to remove the locks on the valve guides for a flathead F**d, and the adapter to chuck up the '32-'48 F**d distributor in my Sun distributor tester. Oh ya, I forgot to mention the valve and injector tools for a series 53 and 71 Detroit Diesel.

Excuse the size of the photos, I do not have a photo editor on this computer (I borrowed the photos)
